Synthetic Compressor Oil - ISO 46, SAE 20

AMSOIL PC Series Synthetic Compressor Oil is a long-life, premium compressor lubricant based on novel, proprietary technology. It incorporates the highest quality, thermally stable PAO synthetics fortified with premium non-detergent additives for maximum protection at high temperatures. It lasts up to 8,000 hours, effectively reducing maintenance and waste oil disposal costs.

Improves Compressor Efficiency
AMSOIL PC Series Oil has low friction properties, resists viscosity increase from oxidation and helps improve operating efficiency.

Controls Foam and Reduces Wear
AMSOIL PC Series Oil contains anti-foam additives and, unlike some other compressor oils, is anti-wear fortified. Good foam control reduces heat, oxidation and wear. High contact regions are protected against wear for increased compressor life and lower maintenance costs.

Resists Water Contamination
Water from condensation builds up in compressors and can cause unwanted oil/water emulsions that lead to rust and corrosion. AMSOIL PC Series Oil is hydrolytically stable. It resists acid formation, readily separates from water and is anti-rust fortified. Water can be easily drained for simplified disposal and increased oil life.

Resists Heat and Oxidation
AMSOIL PC Series Oil combines the inherent stability of premium synthetic base oils with specialized anti-oxidant additives to resist varnish, carbon and acid formation. It is formulated to protect compressors better and last longer in service than petroleum oils, especially during hot operating conditions.

Safety Advantage
AMSOIL PC Series Oil is an ashless, high-flash-point formulation with very low carbon-forming tendencies that minimizes the incidence of ignition-promoting "hot spots." While PC Series Oil can provide improved fire safety, it cannot be considered non-flammable.

Application Recommendations*
AMSOIL PC Series Oil in the appropriate viscosity is recommended for use in single and multistage rotary screw, vane, centrifugal and reciprocating compressor crankcases and cylinders, vacuum pumps, pressure washer pumps and other applications such as gears, bearings, blowers and pumps. In compressor applications, drain intervals of 8,000 hours or more can be expected under normal operation. Drain intervals are subject to operating conditions and maintenance practices. Monitoring by oil analysis is recommended. For best performance when converting to AMSOIL PC Series Oil, it is recommended the compressor be flushed of the old oil and all filters changed prior to the installation of PC Series Oil. If carbon deposits are present on the internal components, it is recommended they be removed following the compressor manufacturer recommendations.

* Consult the equipment manufacturer or AMSOIL Technical Services for use in specific applications.

Perfect for a big shop air compressor
By  MICHAEL,  a  Verified Buyer  on  April 27, 2022
Like i said perfect for my big shop air compressor, been using it for years, change it after winter every year, no issues never sludging up. Actually looked good changing old oil, but in NC the moisture pprobably gets into the oil over time, so best to be safe and change it even if it looks good still. Its worth every penny!
    Bottom Line
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

Hopefully will make compressor last longer
By  MARK,  a  Verified Buyer  from  wisconsin  on  January 22, 2022
I am not a scientist, and I did not do any studies, so I can only go by what claims have been made of synthetic lubricants. I am hopeful that this product will help my compressor to last longer, but how can I really know for certain. I am hopeful that it will help. I will say the AMSOIL company did process and ship my order quickly. So, I am happy about that. Maybe in the future, the consumer will see real data to confirm whether synthetic lubricants actually warrant the higher prices. I see much marketing claims but is it entirely accurate? I do remain hopeful. Thank You AMSOIL.

Synthetic Compressor Oil - ISO 100, SAE 30/40
By  DAVE,  a  Verified Buyer  from  Washington State  on  September 21, 2021
I replaced the break-in oil in my Home Depot Husky compressor when new. 15 years later I decided it was time to change it again. The oil drain was only slightly discolored which is normal and probably could have been left in for life. There were no metallic particles visible in the oil. AMSOIL makes the best lubrication products for my equipment. If you want it to last forever, use AMSOIL.

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

    Compressor oil change X 3
By  WILLIAM,  a  Verified Buyer  from  Michigan  on  August 09, 2021
Michigan - gets hot and cold - 3 compressors in unheated / uncooled area. Synthetic should handle range better. Overdue to be changed anyway. Extra cost over time is minor.

    Compressor Oil
By  DAVID,  a  Verified Buyer  on  June 28, 2021
It may be a bit early to tell because I just used this product for the first time a month ago. The oil was clear which will make it easy to see through the sight glass if it gets burned within a year.
    Bottom Line
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
