Overall this is a great product for a lower price. However the difference in price is worth going up to the XL oil, twice the oil life for only a dollar or so more.
I have 3 Fords and they all use Amsoil products. The daily drivers use the OE product and my beloved 1996 modified Mustang runs exclusively on Amsoil's Signature series. Very satisfied.
Bottom Line
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

OE is the best choice for me.

I had always purchased the top-line signature-series for my cars and trucks in order to take advantage of their long drain intervals. Recently I bought a new midsize truck with a V6 engine. The dealer offers a free one-million-mile powertrain warranty to the first owner. Owner must follow the factory-recommended service intervals; oil drain and filter come every 5,000 miles. I went with OE because it has to be drained so often, but would it provide about the same protection and mileage as the SS? Before OE the mileage average was 23.4 mpg. After 5,000 miles on OE the mileage average is 24.3, an increase of about 9%. The engine is very quiet at idle and runs very strong. No oil seeping anywhere.
Bottom Line
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

Funky Motors Love AMSOil

Owning an air-cooled Harley and a Subaru with leaking head gaskets, I can't really afford to take chances with oil. AMSOil is competitively priced and in some cases, less expensive (see Motorcraft gear oil vs AMSOil)
Bottom Line
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

Good value for an oil burning engine

Using it in an engine that burns oil. It is more affordable that the signature oil but still quiets down valvetrain and runs smooth.
I use this oil in the winter time since i put around 6000km a month regardless. I like to change my oil a little more frequently in the winter season since i idle more with heater on and since fuel can get diluted into the oil since it takes much longer to warm a vehicle up in the winter. I use this during the winter and go 2 month intervals/approx 10k-12k km. Summer time i jump upto Signature series 5w20 alongside the EaO filter and go 4 month interval/20-25k km. This is a '12 mustang 3.7L cyclone engine with just over 215,000km. Still looks like new down the oil filler! I'd say the OE & XL are far better than whats on the shelf at any store.
Read the reviews and test comparison 's of Amsoil versus other brands of synthetic oil. It appears the Amsoil brand out performed the others in most instances and that is what sold me on their product.
Bottom Line
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

Bought a ton of 5W20 and put it in my 09 Cherokee Laredo. Smooth driving all the way!
I switched from a synthetic blend oil to This OE synthetic. Car runs great, mileage per gallon went up and, now that the temperature has dropped I noticed it seems to start easier.
I have been using this in F-150's for over 4 years and have been nothing short of impressed by this oil. I have also put this oil in a lot of other vehicles and never any complaints.
Have been using this product in our 2007 Tahoe with a 5.3, and my 2012 Chev. 2500 with a 6.0 liter gas engine. Very particular about everything, Watch for new leaks, old seeps, consumption, color, smell, everything. Tahoe has 80,000 miles, PU has 60,000 miles. Tahoe has had a slight seepage around rear main area and also had started using a quart of oil in 3,800 miles after every oil change at about 30,000 miles. Since switching to AMSOIL, seepage has just about completely stopped, and consumption has slowed to approx. 1/2 quart at 3,800 miles after about a year and a half of usage and 3 oil changes at 4,000 miles. Hoping for continued improvement with time and miles. PU has never used a drop or leaked a drop between changes. Have always used Valvoline products prior to trying AMSOIL. Still watching results and hoping for the best. Also put 50 wt. SYN. AMSOIL in my '80 diesel truck transmission and saw easier, faster shifting, and less noise. No leaks.
Bottom Line
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

Only one complaint, it now takes longer for my car's heater to heat up. This makes sense because the engine is only being heated by combustion and not by combustion and friction. Great Product

I run this product in my 10 honda crv. Has roughly 90,000mi currently and drove 23,000mi last year. I never burn/ consume oil. Never an issue with the vehicle. This oil doesn't run as well in every application but for my daily driver it's great

Fully synthetic oil, sometimes what you get is not fully synthetic from other manufacturers, but is labeled as such due to a rating process which I don't fully understand. Regardless, you get what you pay for here and then some. I use this oil in both of our Jeeps and have full confidence in the warranty Amsoil supplies.

I love the OE Amsoil products. I use the OE 5W-30 in both of my GM vehicles, a 2001 Silverado with 256k miles and a 2011 Cadillac with 96k miles. I love the feeling of protecting my engine with quality oil.
