I ave run amsoil 5w30 in my 05 2500 silverado for 12 years. Still runs like it brand new after 150,000+ miles. I change oil about every 6,000 miles and never had any wear problems or loss of power problems.
Bottom Line
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

The most important thing you can do for your car.

The three most important things you can do for your car: warm it up, drive slowly as the moving parts warm up, and change the oil regularly. Since I wanted my Toyota truck to last, and I hate to change the oil, I use Amsoil. It's superior, and it only has to be changed once a year. Really! I ran fossil oil until after the engine was broken in, like 25,000 miles or so, then Amsoil for engine, trannie and differential since then. I bought my truck new in 1998, and it now has 344,000 miles on the original motor and trannie. Everyone who knows, knows Amsoil is far and away the best.
I have been a preferred customer since 1989. All my vehicles, Cars and Pick ups have the 10w-30 signature since new. 200K miles plus on each, and still running strong. Replaced a valve cover gasket on a 1993 Chevy 4 cyl. with 180K miles, top of cyl. head brand new with no gunk. Was using the Amsoil By-pass system with this car.
I've used and sold Amsoil products for about 18 years exclusively, without one issue. At least 100,000 miles on three different cars and one almost 170,000. (2002 ML 320). Once a year oil changes are the norm.
I have been using Amsoil on all my vehicles for a couple of years. I really enjoy the extended change intervals and the protection Amsoil provides. This is the only oil I will use. Engines seem to run a lot smoother and gas mileage has increased a bit.
I have used Amsoil oils in my vehicles for 15 years. All of them have been 1990's or older. They keep the trucks/car running great! Not only that, but changing oil once a year is so much nicer with multiple vehicles than every 3000 miles.
I did a complete inspection of my vehicle engine right when I bought it. There was no sludge in it. For the past 5 years I've been using only Amsoil in it and after an engine failure I opened the engine and discovered industrial quantities of sludge in the oil pan, all throughout the engine, blocked lubrication ports, etc. Head gaskets were in perfect condition, there was no antifreeze present in the oil. I won't be using Amsoil anymore and I'm switching my other vehicle to a different brand too.

Really smooth and quieted the motor a good bit. About 3k on this oil change and it still runs as good as the day I changed it. It hasn't started to break down like some other oils.
