I have this in my 2010 caravan. Have roughly 10k mi on the oil and it has discolored to a color I'd really want to change it at, but the dealer I got it from assured me that even though the oil will turn colors that it will NOT breakdown! So I'm trusting his word

Hi Stevie: Like any motor oil, AMSOIL motor oil will darken as miles/time accumulate. In addition, AMSOIL motor oil is amber in color, and in many instances is slightly darker in color than other brands of motor oil. This, along with the oil containing outstanding detergents to keep the engine clean, the oil can darken within the mileage that is recommended for use. The dark color of the oil does not mean the oil is no longer good for continued use, and should not be the single determining factor on the oil's ability to perform as prescribed. Have used AMSOIL OIL for years. 2003 SVT FOCUS has 332,600 miles on it. 2011 SAAB has 105,200 miles on it. Excellent products.

I use this product on my chevy suburban 1500. Gotten better gas mileage, and of course longevity. Burn off is very very low. No other oil comes better!! This is the best. It makes Mobile One look likes water to synthetic oils. It takes a lot of miles to burn off this synthetic oil. Up to a year or 25,000 miles before changing the oil! Worth the money and investment!!

While I was apprenticing to be a mechanic in the early 1980's a friend of mine challenged me to a comparison test between Amsoil 100% synthetic motor oils and conventional oil. As a result, I switched to Amsoil and have used it for over 30 years in all of my 4 stroke, 2 stroke, and diesel motors. It lasts longer, doesn't have the viscosity break down, and is a better lubricant than other oils.

I have been using this product since I bought my low milagr 2004 Mustang cobra back in 2013. I have trusted this product to protect my factory supercharged motor and it has done a great job. I run this oil the full year or 15,000 miles as i fall under severe service useage guidelines. It has always kept the inside of engine clean and i rarely add any oil,it performs well,oil analysis comes back great. Both vehicles i use it in have high miles and i know its keeping them running well. Highly recommended. Amsoil is the best oil in my opinion. I even use amsoil in my lawnmowers. Synthetics are not all equal. This is the best out there. I wrench for a living and have seen the effects of using sub par oil.
