Used it on a Volvo S60 aisin-warner tranny infamous for failing by overheating because the "lifetime" fluid deteriorates after 70,000 miles, even sooner. I flushed/filled it several times after having consistent hard shifts. Attached a cooler. Solved.
An often overlooked vital lubricant! Before I started using this product, the trans fluid would start to discolor. and have almost a "burnt" smell. I've used this product for a very long time, and check it frequently. It has NEVER discolored, or smelled burnt. I've had ZERO TRANSMISSION RELATED ISSUES since switching! I've had some of my friends switch, and they love it! I am a customer for LIFE!!

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

AMSOIL transmission fluid is outstanding! It has made the shifting more seamless and smooth in my 2007 Toyota Prius and has also reduced total transmission temp while opperating comparted to Toyota WS fluid. It hold up longer and provides solid protection for my severe city driving routine. Fantastic product!
I use Amsoil in every engine in each machine and noticed valuable performance improvements in each. My 1970 350 has over 200,000 miles and only changed the oil 5 times still has 20" vacuum and gets over 15mpg. Used this ATF IN 2 Cars and both experienced performance and MPG improvements!

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

The T56 in my Cobra uses ATF as a trans fluid so naturally I chose AMSOIL ATF. Change it out once a year And it helps keep my 160k mile T56 alive and shifting smooth as could be with 500whp behind it. Also use it on my WC T5 in my Foxbody and couldn't be happier.
I've used brake cleaner, motor flush, oil filters, transmission fluid, brake fluid and fuel system cleaner and have been happy with the results. Amsoil products seem to be superior to the products that I used in my vehicles over the years and I would recommend amsoil products to anyone.
Bottom Line
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

This transmission fluid works great. I have not experienced any loss of power or problems in my cars. Even those i buy used with 200+ miles that i switch over to amsoil.
I needed ( or just wanted to have the best ) to change my automatic transmission fluid on my Mazda Miata which has an automatic transmission, however I wanted a high quality synthetic transmission fluid. I only had one choice which is the top on the line Amsoil , With this product you do not have to worry about having any problems with your transmission. All you have to do is check the reviews on this brand of motor oils I feel they are the best, they also make the second, and third best if you choose the lower grades of Amsoil products.
Bottom Line
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

you might think i brag by what is in this review and you might disagree, but hear me out. i would call myself a serious person/ mechanic that has always, flat out, done my level best to find the absolute best synthetic oils to use. i have spent about 50 years of buying/building/selling high horsepower engines and vehicles. like many others, real world experience has taught me to think a certain way. most of what i own or build is high performance, so i need the best oil to protect my investment. if something starts to develop a problem, saving a buck on oil won't be the reason. since using amsoil synthetics i have never had an oil related problem. i bought a 2014 silverado. towing a 28' trailer in the mountains at, or slightly over the gvwr means using the absolute best trans oil. at first i didn't like the way gm uses light weight oils in their newer models. these lighter oils do, in fact, boost gas mileage, even towing a 6 ton trailer. the transmission in this truck uses mercron 6 oil. from what i understand, this oil is the thinnest that gm has ever called for. i dropped the pan on the 6speed automatic, changed the filter and installed the 2 quart bigger b&m aluminum trans pan. during this time i cut open the old filter, at 80,000 miles, the filter had very little dirt in it. the magnetic drain plug had only the normal 'metallic grease' [that's what i call it] from the steels stuck to it. the inside of the oil pan as clean as you would want. i plan on draining and filling the new b&m trans pan 2 more times. this should put the clean oil in the trans over the 90% mark. amsoil's proven track record got me to stop worrying about the thin mercron6 oil. i mean, if amsoil can't protect my transmission, who else can? i once had a turbo 400 transmission in a gmc that went over 300,000 miles, we will see if the 2014 silverado does as well.
I use this for older classic truck engines. Why? Well it has properties others do not have and these help where others simply do not.Any who know what I am writing about will agree. One can put the additives in --for more money of course,or simply use this.Simple is as simple does.

After initial break-in, swapped both my transmission fluid and transfer case fluid to this and haven't looked back. I can't really attest to any fuel savings (new truck + only a few thousand miles since swap), but the peace of mind is well worth the price. For fluids that rarely get changed, you really do need to run the best.

I have been using amsoil in my vehicles for approx 20 years. When i do the trans oil & filter change ,this is the only trans fluid that i will allow in my vehicles.

My truck is used above and beyond most trucks limitations, pulling heavy loads etc. And with a motor putting out way over factory horsepower. I have never had issues since running Amsoil in my "stock" transmission, front & rear differentials and grease joints. In fact my temps are never an issue anymore.

I used this fluid in my f350 Diesel manual tranny and in my Honda civics auto tranny. Better shifts all the way around. The Honda went from rough shifts to nearly flawless smooth shifting. It was time to change my Ford's tranny fluid and I don't think there is a better oil to use than Amsoil.
My 1994 Ford Ranger XLT 5-spd manual transmission has never seemed to get along with O.E. (Ford) transmission fluid. When operated in cold weather, I would always have spend a block or two in first gear in order to be able to shift into second. Cool weather still required a half block of gear oil "mixing" before a gentle shift to second could take place. Now trolling through my quiet neighborhood, it's no big deal. When I have to pull out of parking garage into busy downtown traffic (after my 12 hour shift), that's a pain. The Amsoil conversion gives me a transmission that's ready to shift smoothly when oil is dead cold. No fuss, no stickiness-just a quick, confidence inspiring shift throughout the entire gearbox. I'll be looking forward to seeing how the gearbox performs over the "winter" months. However, in this part of California, that means average high 40-30's to the (very) occasional upper 20's.
