We have been using this oil for 3 years in a 7.90 jr dragster. It outperforms most name brand oils in Friction, heat brake down, and fuel contamination (alcohol) The only thing I noticed with this purchase was the color of the oil was a little darker out of the container, normally it's a bright red like transmission fluid. Not sure if there was a change in formula or there was a slight more zinc added by miss calibrated mixture?

All of the products were great, but I didn’t receive any gloves or funnels with my purchase.

I recommend this to all my customers for break-in before going to the T4 !!

I build custom street engines and racing engines. I've been using Break in oil in every engine for years. It has the proper additive package for flat tappet cam break in, plus limited friction modifiers to aid ring seating. Even in 900+hp sprint car engines we can see the EGT's change as the rings seat! GREAT product!

I have used this for break in of several rebuilt engines. I never had a problem with flat tappet camshaft break in or ring seating.

I have used this before a couple times and I would not use anything else as this has bee one of the best break-in oils I have ever used. I have just put together a SBC 383 stoker and I am about to put it on my engine start up stand to run it. I wish I could put a video of it on this review. Please Amsoil you should let us be able to put videos/pictures to our reviews to show what we are doing. Thank you for the best oil products out there.

Purchased a new Generac 15.5 Kw generator for our hurricanes. Knowing that Amsoil is the pioneer of API rated synthetic motor oil, it was a no-brainer to go with their Break-In Oil to start protecting my valuable asset from the start. I plan on moving to the Amsoil Small Engine Oil after the break-in time has been met per Generac specs. Looking forward to a long reliable enginge life to support my emergency needs if required.

This product is the best oil anyone could ever need for breaking in a newly rebuild engine. It has the right makeup to ensure that all parts are lube in the great manner.

So i went with the break in oil and i was not disappointed. the oil filter combo went the distance of the break in. for my Equinox this was 500 miles. zero metal flakes after the first change. the oil still had a nice red color and everything is sealed up and broke in so smooth. they got me to total seal compression. i am 100% happy as this is my first use of a complete Amsoil from New Engine day 1. i will not ever use another product again. Amsoil has a new life long customer!!!! keep it up. i am one of many who understands Amsoil is the way to Go now.

After recently wiping out hydraulic flat tappet cam and lifter sets using parts store oil with zinc additive, I switched to Amsoil. I've since broke in two SBC hydraulic flat tappet engines with Amsoil. Everything broke in the way it should. I will never go back to store bought oil and additives for engine break in. This stuff works!! Don't cheap out on your investment with cheap oil, especially when breaking them in!

I have 1970 mopar 340 that been rebuilt. Sitting covered & pickled for 20 years. Used a different oil & assembly lube. I took it apart to recheck everything- found residue on pistons & some rings were sticking. Cleaned everything & used AMSOIL & assembly lube. Big difference from the other oil.
