Seems like a great product.

I have used this product sense 2008, when doing fluid change this past year in a 3500 Dodge 6-speed with lots of hauling miles it still looked like the day I put it in. I believe in Amsoil products, I wouldn't trust any other brands to keep things running longer an being able to perform 100% without worrying about mechanical breakdowns. Original transmission has over 250,000 miles now with no issues. Don't hesitate to buy a great product!

I have used this in my transaxles for years, smooth shifting with protection good enough for track duty. Recently added a limited slip diff to my transaxle and it performs beautifully with the amsoil gear lube. I will not run anything else.

The NV4500 is a unique beast. It is a five speed tranny build by New Venture Gear in conjunction with Castrol to meet the ever growing demand for a stout manual overdrive tranny to back up the stronger diesel motors found in modern pickup trucks. A new gear lube was formulated for this specific transmission. I had owned my Chevy for awhile with this tranny in it when the clutch began to fail. After an overhaul, the tranny shop installed conventional manual gear lube. Within three weeks, I couldn't hardly shift the truck into first or reverse and it was even getting hard to get it into second. I did my own research and found out about the special fluid. I immediately checked to see if Amsoil handled a fluid formulated like the Castrol Syntorque designed for the NV4500 and was overjoyed to see that they did. After changing the fluid, I noticed an immediate difference, a great improvement in shift quality throughout the gear range and rpm powerband. Once again Amsoil delivers a great product suited for a specific need. I would highly recommend this product to anyone owning a vehicle equipped with the NV4500. Well done!

This is simply fantastic gear oil for the older spec manual transmissions that require a GL4 spec oil!

I used this product in my 1969 427 Camaro. I've have this car for over 20 years and have used the GM trans gear lube and multiple other brands over the years. Nothing have worked better or have even come close. There was a noticeable difference right away. The shifts seems so much smoother and it actually felt like everything was tighter and a lot less slop. I would highly recommend this product. I even used the gear lube in the squeezable pouches.....it made it so much easier and also worked great. Great Idea!! Great Products!!

Amsoil is the best out there. Serviced my nv4500 and the 250k beast is still shifting gears like new.

First time using this product and it is the best product i have used to date. Please note that if you use a pump to install that the bottle opening is bigger so have the appropriate sized pump for that. I onlyhad the normal size at the time so i have to improvise.

Needed to replace clutch in my 78 FJ40, this was perfect for Transmission and transfer case, shifts more smooth than ever

No difference in shifting but I use amsoil products in everything I own .

Put 7 quarts in my cummins g56 transmission after reading several good reviews of this fluid and i could not been happier only issue is i should have done it sooner. The truck is quieter and no issues with shifting at all. Dodges atf4 is not what mercedes says is the correct fluid for the transmission as this is one of the easily obtained fluid for consumers in north america to get. I will be swapping this into the axles when the time come for their service as well.

I've had good luck in the past with this product, but after putting it in my 296k mile trans it is harder to shift and makes more noise. I will have to switch to a synchromesh or try another product.

Works as described and I feel good about having it in my truck. No other fluid I'd rather run off-road

Put this in a 07 Pontiac vibe (as recommend on amsoil website), it worked great for about 4000 km but then ran into issues with shifting and gears grinding, switched it out to the severe gear oil and never looked back, way better performance now. Now I am sure this product would work great in other manual transmissions.

I used this product in my 95 Geo Tracker, it shifts so smooth I can shift without using the clutch. Also the counter shaft bearings quite whining.

I just finished a clutch job on a shop truck (97 Dodge 2500) that has been through more than one over the last few years due to a number of different drivers. Owner said this time was different and the truck was shifting like the day he drove it off the lot, the only thing I did that I hadn't done before this time was use Amsoil. That simple.

Topped off after a drive axle replacement. Seems to work great. Shifter and pedal are happier!

Currently using it in my 94 ram with the nv4500 and in my 04 VW TDI. It meets the specs for both vehicles manual transmissions, smooth shifting all around. Recommended to my friends and family.

hard too find gl4 in any good quality at all ..answer to my needs for a synthetic diff lube that will not attack the yellow metals in my components ..well done
